Our Terms of Trade
These are the terms on which we trade. By sending your instruments to us you are agreeing to our Terms of Trade
so please read BEFORE you send us anything.
1.0 Dashboard Instrument Service & Repair
1.1 You must communicate with us BEFORE you send any instruments This is to check that we are able to work on your particular instrument,
and also to discuss your specific requirements. Contact via email or telephone is always welcome.
1.2 You are responsible for your instrument until it reaches us. Follow our packaging guidelines to ensure it
survives the journey. See our website for more details. For UK customers we recommend
Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day Guaranteed
1.3 It is your responsibility to ensure that your instrument is the correct turns per mile (TPM) for the vehicle it will be fitted to.
We cannot take responsibility for a restored and working speedometer that subsequently does not work correctly in the vehicle.
A calibration check is always recommended where they may be any element of doubt.
2.0 Payment
2.1 In order to diagnose the issues with your speedometer we need to test and disassemble it. If we find that more is required that a
straightforward service and repair, we will contact you with an estimate for the work, and seek your approval before we go ahead.
2.2 The cost of diagnosing your instrument’s requirements is £50 plus return postage. You must pay this charge if you decide
that you do not wish to go ahead with the service and repair. We will invoice you for this amount and will return your speedometer to you once payment has been received.
2.3 After service and repair, we will invoice via email as soon as your speedometer is ready to be returned to you. Once we receive your payment,
we will post to UK customers using Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day Guaranteed. For Non-UK customers we may use another courier with agreement from you.
3.0 Warranty
3.1 On receipt please inspect each item carefully for damage which could have occurred in transit.
Keep all packaging and inform us within 3 days if there is an issue, as otherwise claims for damage in transit cannot be entertained.
3.2 Any instrument which has seals broken or has been opened by others will not be accepted under complaint for faulty repair or restoration.
3.3 The accuracy of an instrument beyond the manufacturers original expectations is not warranted.
A reconditioned speedometer will in most cases only give an indication of speed and will not be completely accurate.
